Short Term Goals Update (10:42, 29th May 09)

I would like to update you with how my short term goals are going.

• Short Term Goals: I will finish all of these by the end of May, if not sooner.
  
  
  
  
  
  • Ensure that all features of the site are fully functional and accessible to users. This is where I am a little behind. I have begun making a script for future tutorials and written one, but there is a bit of a way to go. I have updated a few bits of the help section I felt necessary.
    
    
    
    
    
    • Improve and reorganise some of the help areas
    
    
    
    • Check that all information is easy to find and understand (through my own checking and user research)
    
    
    
    • Create a full beginner's tour of the site that will actually take users, step-by-step, through all features
    
    
    
    
    
    
  
  
  
  • Remove (and, in the longer term, replace) Flash games that contain glitches Have yet to do this as I would like to have some kind of replacement games first
  
  
  
  • Make sure that our artists and writers are fully coordinated so they can work together to develop new ideas for the site Have done a lot of this but of course it is an ongoing process!
  
  
  
  • Create better staff management tools to allow me to make updates to
    
    the site faster Have done as much of this as is needed right now
  
  
  
  • Make sure that all the items which currently exist on the site are in circulation, by creating new shops and other methods Have got a few things in place to create more shops, will finish this weekend
  
  
  
  • Respond to all feedback on the site and possibly conduct further user
    
    research Have responded to most of the suggestions made by users
  
  
  
  
  
  



Overall, not quite as far along as I would like to be, and with having some time off Tuesday-Thursday, the following week might also be slightly slow progress...hopefully this weekend I will catch up with the majority of this.



I am also considering looking for a co-owner, but only once these short term goals are done and dusted.
